Court Grants Former Minister, Usman, Sea Medical Trip

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos on Monday ordered the release of the international passport of the former Minister of Finance, Nenadi Usman.

Usman is facing a charge of N4.6 billion fraud.

Others included in the case are former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Yusuf Danjuma, and the company, Jointrust Dimension Limited.

Justice Mohammed Aikawa, while delivering her judgment yesterday, ordered the passport to be returned to court on or before January 15, 2020.

He adjourned the matter till January 23 and January 24, 2020, for continuation of trial.

“I pray that God heals her so that she will not have to travel again,” Aikawa added.
