The Bauchi State Government has given it's newly inaugurated 41-member Joint Public Service Negotiation Council four days to workout a report and submit. The report is essential for the implementation of the new minimum wage in the state.
The inauguration of the council, which was carried out under the auspices of the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Mohammed Baba, took place on Monday. The committee was given a deadline to submit their report on Dec. 27.
According to Baba, the committee, after the development of its report, is expected to provide recommendations to the government on modalities of ensuring effective implementation of the new minimum wage.
