President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday, sent a congratulatory message to the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu, over the marriage of his two sons.
Ribadu's sons, Mahmud, and Abubakar-Sadiq, married Aminatu Ismaila, and Fatima Jijiwa respectively at a colourful ceremony in Abuja on Saturday.
President Muhammadu Buhari was represented at the event by his Chief of Staff, Mr Abba Kyari, alongside other top dignitaries mentioned in statement issued by the president's media aide, Mr Garba Shehu.
These top dignitary include, the State Chief of Protocol , Lawal Kazaure; Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media, Garba Shehu; Senior Special Assistant to the President on Domestic Affairs, Sarki Abba; and a Personal Assistant of the Presdient, Sabiu Tunde Yusuf.
The Permanent Secretary, State House, Jalal Arabi, the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ahmed Abubakar; and the Chief Security Officer, Idris Ahmed, were also on the delegation.
According to the statement, Garba Shehu wrote: “In the message delivered on his behalf by the Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, President Buhari thanked the former EFCC chairman for inviting him to the wedding and wished the new couples prosperity and excellent shared dreams."
He prayed for the couples, adding that:“As they move ahead in life, I wish them happiness and joy."
