Chief Alegho Raymond Dokpesi, the Chairman of DAAR Communications, has just lost one of his closest aides, Gabriel Agorye, to death.
Agorye, until his death was in charge of the many domestic affairs and financial transactions of the billionaire.
Agorye, who died after a brief illness at a Lagos hospital, had been with the businessman turned politician since his days in the shipping business before moving to DAAR Communications.
He was aged 60 and survived by his wife and children.
Homotopua, one of the daughters of Dokpesi, while commenting on the deceased, said she is still in shock over the death.
Another colleague of Gabriel Agorye, Prince Godfrey Usifoh, who also penned his tribute, said he (Gabriel Agorye) was a special friend during his lifetime.
“Mr Agorye, fondly called ‘Oga Gabroz’, by my humble self was a special friend, close colleague, a diligent man. He is most worthy, respectful, fun-loving, honest, and dedicated to work. His humanistic empathies are spoken of everywhere and anywhere he steps into,” Usifo said.
Dokpesi who is still devastated over the death of his trusted aide is yet to release his official statement at the time of filing this report.
