The former Governor of Ondo State and National Leader of the Zenith Labour Party, Dr Olusegun Abayomi Mimiko, has urged party members to focus on its social and democratic ideological commitment to the society in order for the party to have a victorious outcome at the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
At the inauguration of the new executives of the party at the local government, senatorial and state levels held at the party secretariat, in Akure, Mimiko said the party ideologically stood out from other political parties in the state because of its focus on quality healthcare and affordable education.
According to the two-time governor of the state, access to quality healthcare and affordable education by all citizens should be the primary aim of any government that is for the people.
He said education must be available to everybody irrespective of their situation because education remains the ladder for those underprivileged in the society to attain a good height. Any government at any level should not deprive anybody access to quality education, he insisted.
He said, as a party, everyone must remain committed to providing quality healthcare and quality education to the people. Dr Mimiko further noted that the party will perform well when it emerges victorious and meets the demands of the majority in the state.
