Trump Imposes Immigrant Visa Ban On Nigeria, Others

President of the United of States America, Donald Trump, has imposed an immigration visa ban on Nigeria.

Other affected countries included Eritrea, Myanamar and Kyrgzstan.

The ban according Wall Street Journal, takes effect from February 21, 2020.

Speaking on the executive order, the acting Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Chad Wolf, said the ban was designed to address security threat against the country and avoid the influx of illegal immigrants from the countries listed.

Wolf added that the restriction would not affect those with valid visas, but the incoming applicants.
