Professor Wole Soyinka, the Noble Laureate, was present at the Federal High Court in Abuja, earlier Wednesday, in a bid to show solidarity to the Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore.
The embattled politician is facing trial for organising a nationwide protest, RevolutionNow.
Soyinka stormed the court prior the proceedings scheduled to hold at 9 am.
The Department of State Services had in August 2019 nabbed and detained Sowore and his co-defendant, Olawale Bakare, over a botched protest.
They were later charged with a treasonable felony for allegedly planning to disrupt the government of the President Muhammadu Buhari.
