The former First Lady, Patience Jonathan, paid a courtesy visit to her successor, Aisha Buhari, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday.
Jonathan’s visit is coming a few days after her husband, ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, visited President Muhammadu Buhari before the former left the country for a summit in South Korea in the company of his wife.
Aisha, on Tuesday, posted the picture of the visit, saying that their discussion was deliberated on women’s participation in politics, girl-child education and Mrs Jonathan’s pet project, ‘Women for Change.’
“I got to hear about her experience during her tenure and listened to her perspectives on the issues affecting women and children in the society.
“It was really nice having her around and I look forward to having more of such moments,” the president’s wife wrote on her social media page.
Mrs Jonathan was the second former first lady to be hosted by Aisha, a week after she played host to the widow of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, Mrs Turai.
Recall, Madam Patience completed her tenure in 2015 when her husband lost the 2015 presidential poll and handed over to Buhari on May 29.
