Immigration Comptroller To Roll Out Enhanced E-Passports

Mr Muhammad Babandede, Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, has announced the date for the official rollout of enhanced e-passports in Port Harcourt, River State.

He has picked Tuesday, February 18th for the rollout, and it will be declared open by Executive Governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, at the Nigeria Immigration Service, Rivers State Command, 8/10, Mile 1, Aba Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers State by 10 am.

The enhanced e-passports, Mr Adegoke Comptroller of Immigration Service, River State Command, in a statement said, will have 32 pages and 64 pages, with the option of five years and ten years validity.

“The quality of the e-passport is better with the introduction of polycarbonate technology, in line with global best practice,” Adegoke said
