Oyo State House of Assembly has passed the bill backing the security agency, Operation Amotekun, into law.
The bill, after passing through the first, second and third readings, was on Tuesday confirmed by members of the state assembly.
The lawmakers, shortly before the sitting, were dressed in the Amotekun uniform to express their support for the security outfit before passing the bill into law.
The session started with a clause by clause consideration of the bill before its eventual third reading and final adoption and passage.
After the passage of the bill, there was a huge celebration at the premises of the assembly, as local hunters sang and danced while the lawmakers embraced each other for a job well done.
