“l Take My Dethronement In Good Faith,” Says Sanusi

The sacked emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi ll, has finnaly broken his silence, saying that his six years reign as the emir of the ancient city made him a fulfilled man in life.

He equally said he left the throne as a fulfilled and happy man.

Sanusi ll, who made the statement in Hausa language to Kano indiegnes and residents after his dethronement by the Kano State government on Monday, said:” l am taking the dethronement in good faith.

“l am urging for calm as l take the dethronement in good faith .

“Everything that has a beginning and must definitely have an end.”

The former Central Bank of Nigeria governor, however, prayed for peace, progress of the state, urging his people not to cause violence over the dethronement.
