JAMB Would Be Accrediting More Centers For UTME - Minister

Teewhy

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), will be accrediting more centres for the University Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in order to cope with the increasing number of candidates.

This was disclosed by Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, Minister of State for Education.

He said this during an inspection of some computer-based test centres for the ongoing UTME in Calabar on Monday.

He said, “JAMB is doing a fantastic job of getting our students ready for the examination that will get them into the university system. We have inspected a couple of centres around the country and we started out in Calabar this morning. We have been to a few of them and we think it is going on properly. The network hitches have now been resolved."

This is coming after some candidates had complained about being posted to different states and the difficulties involved having to travel to sit for the examination at such centres.
