The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), has tested negative for the dreaded novel coronavirus.
Laolu Akande, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Vice President, confirmed the development to the media on Wednesday in Abuja.
“Good morning sirs and ma: I have been inundated with calls on whether indeed the VP had undergone a COVID19 test and the outcome.
“Yes, he has and the result is negative. An official tweet would follow,” he tweeted.
Recall, Akande had tweeted on Tuesday that Osinbajo had gone on self-isolation in observance of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC)‘s protocol.
“VP Osinbajo yesterday at the office conducted his meetings via video conferencing, while observing social distancing.
“Today, he continues his work from the home office, as he is in self-isolation in accordance with NCDC protocols,” the tweet read.
