Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, has tested negative for the coronavirus.
Fayemi, on Friday, announced his health status after he took the test a few days ago.
The governor was apprehensive, having earlier met both Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State and Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammed Buhari, who had tested positive for the virus.
Announcing on his social media handle, Fayemi wrote: “I just received my test result from NCDC and it is negative.
“Thanks to all for your concern.
“This, however, calls for continued vigilance on the part of everyone.
“Covid-19 is real and we cannot afford to be complacent. JKF.”
