President Muhammadu Buhari and the Minister of Health, Professor Osagie Ehanire, met at the State House, Abuja, on Saturday to rub minds on the dreaded disease, coronavirus.
Dr Chikwe Ikekweazu, the Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), was also part of the meeting. Findings indicated that the official visited in order to give Buhari updates on the raging coronavirus pandemic.
Checks also confirmed that the two officials were in the villa to give the president updates on the state of the nation concerning the pandemic.
The president’s appearance has further laid to rest the rumours that he was flown abroad for the treatment of the virus.
Recall, since the outbreak, Buhari has failed to address the nation, which was the reason many believed he was down with the virus.
Buhari had earlier on Monday tested negative for the coronavirus but he was yet to address the nation since it recorded its first confirmed case in Lagos State.
