Coronavirus: Fayemi Oders 7 To 7 Curfew In Ekiti

Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti has ordered a total lockdown of the state on Sunday.

Fayemi declared this in a live broadcast on Sunday morning to the residents of the state, in a bid to contain the Coronavirus pandemic in the state.

The curfew, he said would be from dusk to Dawn (7am-7pm) for a period of 14 days.

He stated that the curfew was for every resident and places including worship centres and offices, adding that only persons rendering essential services were immune to it.

The governor ordered for the shutdown of routes from Monday midnight.

Fayemi also said that a jail term of six months await whomever violates the directive.
