The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, recently approved the appointment of Anthony Osas Okungbowa as the state’s new Head of Service.
The Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie Esq., in a statement, said:
“His Excellency, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki in exercise of his powers under Section 208 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, has approved the appointment of Mr. Anthony Osas Okungbowa as Head of the Civil Service of Edo State.”
Ogie directed the statement to the Edo State Public Service, noting that this was done following the retirement of Isaac Ehiozuwa who was the Head of Service after the mandatory 35 years of service.
Ogie said Okungbowa, whose appointment takes effect from 1st April, 2020, is a serving Permanent Secretary in the Edo State Civil Service.
