Imo State Agog As Thousands Troop Out For Atiku Abubakar
Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of the country, was in Owerri, Imo State Capital, on Tuesday to kick off his South East presidential campaign.
The Waziri of Adamawa, no doubt, had a funfilled day as thousands of supporters thronged to the venue of the rally to show their support.
The former Vice President, while addressing his supporters and people of the South East region, assured them of policies that will favour their businesses and also enhance a better economy for the region and Nigeria if he wins the elections.
“I am giving you my word that I will restructure this country and rebuild your business.”
“As you can see, the ruling party is not campaigning because they want to rig”
“Please, I want you to vote and protect your vote,” Atiku stated.
Abubakar, in his address, also stressed the need not to vote for the All Progressives Congress party.
He urged the electorate to vote them out of power, having destroyed the economy and making Nigeria the capital of poverty in the world.
Also commenting at the rally, his wife, Jennifer Douglas Atiku, who is from the region charged her people to vote for her husband.
She said her husband, having married from the Southeast, indicated that he is already part of Nd’gbo.
“If you don’t want poverty, hunger, and insecurity again, please vote Atiku/Obi come February 16,” she said.
The former Vice President will proceed to the South South region after covering five states in the South East part of the country.
