Chief Olu Falae, the National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party, on Thursday dropped a hint that Nigerians should resist the urge to re-elect President Muhammadu Buhari for the second term.
The former Secretary to the military government of Ibrahim Babangida made the statement during the visit of Hajia Titi Abubakar, the wife of Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, to his Akure residence.
Chief Olufalae, while addressing Titi Abubakar and her entourage, said the present government must not return for the sake of all Nigerians and Buhari himself.
“Buhari is not in the know of what is going on again.
“I am not sure he is hundred percent fit health wise.
“He should just go home and rest. Some sycophants are hiding behind him to do evil,” Falae enthused.
In his address, Falae wished Atiku well and noted that he is on the same page with the former vice president to take over from the failed government of President Muahmmadu Buhari.
The elder state man’s comment is coming few days after ex-President, Olusegun Obasanjo, hit hard on the president over the state of the nation.
“It is a known fact that Falae will not support Buhari’s re-election bid having suffered from the onslaught of Fulani herdsmen,” said a source
Recall that the front line politician, on several occasions, has been attacked by Fulani Herdsmen at his farm in Ondo State.
The menace continued across the country with no solution from the government before he was later kidnapped and released on ransom.
