True to his word, the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has publicly declared his assets.
As promised during his campaign, the Oyo State Governor, Oluseyi Makinde, publicly declared his assets on Monday, July 15. He confidently gave permission to the Code of Conduct Bureau [CCB] to verify his assets worth 50 billion naira.
The documented details were submitted at the High Court of Oyo State, on May 28, 2019. The governor visited the Code of Conduct [CCB] Oyo State chapter midday on Monday to receive his documented copy of his asset declaration form.
His 50 billion naira assets include 234 million naira cash at hand and in his personal bank accounts, landed properties [developed and undeveloped] and his household accessories are estimated to be $4.4M [US Dollars]. Governor Makinde's companies include:
• Makon Engineering and Technical Services Limited.
• Energy Traders and Technical Services Limited.
• Makon Oil and Gas Limited.
• Makon Group Limited, Makon Construction Limited.
• Makon Power System Limited.
All the aforementioned companies are worth 3.3 billion naira. Finally, details of his existing bonds [Eurobond] are represented at $3.7M [US dollars].
The assets declaration movement was a promise made by the governor to the Oyo State people during his election campaign. He promised to show transparency in the declaration of his assets, and true to his word, he has publicly announced his assets.
