The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC] acting Chairman, Mr Ibrahim Magu, has vowed to help NYSC stop the mobilisation of unqualified graduates by universities and other higher institutions.

The Director-General of the National Youth Services Corps [NYSC], Brig Gen. Ibrahim Shuaibu, paid EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu, a courtesy visit, as he also sought the assistance of the commission in fighting irregularities and fraudulent mobilisation of corps members. Shuaibu hopes both commissions can work hand in hand to monitor the activities of some institutions which mobilise unqualified graduates.

"Mr. Chairman, it is very unfortunate that some institutions of higher learning, particularly in Cotonou, Benin Republic, present to us people who didn’t attend the university as graduates for mobilisation.

“Currently, we are investigating some of the so-called graduates, many of whom cannot write or spell any word in English,” Shuaibu announced.

Ibrahim Magu has assured the Director-General, Ibrahim Shuaibu, that the commission would do its best to fight all fraudulent activities in relation to youth corps.
