APC Will Clinch Bayelsa State - Oshiomhole

The All Progressive Congress party chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole raised high hopes that the candidate of his party will likely win the upcoming, November 16, 2019 gubernatorial election in Bayelsa state.

The APC annointed gubernatorial candidate, David Lyon will be facing his main contender, Duoye Diri of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)

The former Governor of Edo state, Adams Oshiomhole was reacting to a statement made by the Bayelsa state governor, Seriake Dickson.

Oshiomole implied that the imminent defeat at the polls may have beclouded Seriake's sense of judgement.

On Seriake's part, he referred to David Lyon as a terrorist and should not be given the opportunity to govern the state. A statement Oshiomole has taken affront to and condemned as unnecessary gutter language.

Oshiomole lamented that APC has been in opposition since 1999 and Bayelsa state as a whole has not felt the positivity of good governance as the party has been dominated by PDP.

He further stated that he (Oshiomhole) understood their fears and regarded the APC candidate as the real “Lion” which must create fear in enemy camp.

The party chairman in conclusion assured the party of victory at the polls in November and also prayed for the candidate

He said:

“Let me assure him (Dickson), we will not go low as he has chosen to go, but we will rather go high and higher until he packs out of Government House and hands over decently like a gentleman to our candidate – by the special grace of God, the next governor of Bayelsa State, David Lyon,” Oshiomhole stated.
