Aisha Buhari cries out, says Daura's family denied her access to a part of the Presidential Villa.
Nigeria's First Lady and wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, is presently embroiled in a raging feud with her husband’s family, Mamman Daura, over denying her access to an apartment at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The first lady and her husband's nephew live together in the villa.
The news went viral last week after a video showed Aisha reacting angrily after being denied access to one of the apartments.
Fatima, daughter of Daura, was said to have released the video to the public after an encounter with the First Lady.
Aisha, while reacting to the video in an interview with BBC Hausa, said she had to react that way to show her displeasure over being denied access to the part of the villa by Daura and his family.
“I was the one in that video and this person you see standing at my back are my security personnel,” Mrs. Buhari began.
“It was Fatima, the daughter of Mamman Daura that shot the video in front of my security and everybody there.
“She was actually recording the whole thing right in front of me and was laughing and mocking me.
“They did that because my husband sacked them from the house.
“He told them to get all their belongings and leave the house for my son (Yusuf) to occupy.
“I left them and wanted to get to one of the rooms but they prevented me from getting through.
"I left them and took another way yet I met the store locked,” she stated
