The All Progressives Congress candidate for the November 16 gubernatorial election in Bayelsa State, Mr David Lyon, during a campaign in Peretorugbene in Ekeremor Local Government Area of the state, vowed to create jobs for the youths.

He further gave the assurance that he would carry them along if elected as the governor of the state come November 16.

Lyon, who was the youth leader in his community, Olugbobiri, Southern Ijaw Local Government, in 1995, recounted his steadfastness in signing a GMoU with multinational oil organizations in the mission to rescue and provide job opportunities for the youths. He, thus, tasked the youths of the state to emulate him.

The APC candidate declared that only the creation of jobs for the youths would guarantee a safe and stable state. He claimed that this would be one of his priorities if he becomes the governor of the state.

Lyon revealed, while he was visiting each community to seek the support of the electorates in a responsible manner, that his main aim was to know what they lacked and learn how to tackle their challenges as the governor of the state.

The governorship candidate, who also noticed the love and overwhelming support he has gotten from Ekeremor people, reiterated his commitment to developing the state when elected as governor in November.

After the interactive meeting was held between the politician and traditional rulers of the community, the APC candidate thanked them for their support even as flood ravaged their communities. Lyon said he had no doubt that people of Ekeremor will vote massively for him at the poll.
