Galadima Speaks On Supreme Court’s Verdict On Atiku’s Case

Bernard Femi

The Peoples Democratic Party spokesperson for campaign council, Buba Galadima, expressed his opinion on the Supreme Court’s verdict which struck out the application of his party’s presidential candidate.

Galadima, while speaking on Channels Television on Wednesday, said if the judgement by the Supreme Court sacked President Muhammadu Buhari from office, Nigerians would have been on the streets jubilating, but the reverse was the case.

“But have you seen any individual who has demonstrated that he is happy with this judgment?” he asked.

Recall that the Supreme Court sitting in Abuja on Wednesday dismissed the appeal of PDP and its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, which challenged the election that pronounced President Buhari the winner of the 2019 general election and petitioned the Tribunal ruling which affirmed the victory of Buhari in the February election.

The Supreme Court, led by the Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Tanko Muhammed, with a six-man panel, delivered the judgment on the 2019 general election in a three-sentence verdict which concluded the legal disputes over the outcome of the 2019 general election.

The Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate, Abubakar, and his running mate, Peter Obi, have reacted to the court verdict, with Obi thanking Nigerians for their support and a come back by the party.

Atiku stated that the Nigerian judiciary has been sabotaged by some groups of cabals and the court judgement does not in any way affect his fighting spirit for good governance.

President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the judgement, urging Atiku to move on.
