Zamfara State Governor, Hon. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, on Sunday indicated that the United State Government has exempted Zamfara State from terrorized states.

"Zamfara was one of the states in Nigeria where the American Government warned its people to stay clear and avoid visiting the states,” Matawalla said while hosting thousands of All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters who recently defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

"The American government had, just last week, exempted Zamfara State from dangerous places in Nigeria as a result of the peace accord and reconciliation initiatives by this administration in order to bring to an end all forms of criminality in the state" he added .

Matawalla further appealed to the opposition parties to support his government in sustaining the peace for the rapid development of the state.

He warned that he would not hesitate to take drastic actions against any person or group of persons who tries to undermine the security arrangements of the state.

These new sign of peace treaty is coming after the governor had also convinced the alleged 'herdsmen' to stop their reckless killings in the state.

The mortality rate have reduced and no suspicious terrorist activities have been recorded since last month.
