Ahead of tomorrow’s Kogi State governorship election, the Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, on Thursday urged the people of the state to re-elect Governor Yahaya Bello for a second term.

The governor pleaded with the state to forgive the wrongs of Bello and go out en masse to return him to power.

Governor El-Rufai made the plea while addressing the people during the final leg of the APC governorship campaign in Lokoja, the state capital.

“When you are young, you make mistakes. Please, I am kneeling down on my knees to beg you. Please, forgive whatever wrong he has done to you.

“I beg you all. Let us make history. Let us not dishonour the memory of Prince Abubakar Audu by allowing PDP to come back. We must work for the unity and progress of Kogi,” he said.

He added that people should vote for the ruling party’s candidate for continuity against Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), who ruled the state for more than 16 years with nothing to show.
