The Peoples Democratic Party has expressed its displeasure over the deployment of the Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP Musa Usman, ahead of the gubernatorial election in Kogi State.
PDP’s spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan, urged police authorities to reverse the deployment before Saturday’s gubernatorial election, adding that the IGP should bear it in mind that the people of Kogi State already know that CSP Musa has come to work for Governor Bello and the APC.
The party further stated that if the IGP fails to withdraw CSP Musa, they should be ready to accept responsibility for any breakdown of law and order as well as directly bear the guilt for any loss of life in any part of the state during the election.
According to the party, the police actions are tantamount to avoidable violence, bloodletting and extra-judicial killings before and during the election. The people of Kogi State, they insisted, are ready to protect their mandate, as no intimidation will stop them from voting for their choice.
In another state, the PDP cautioned Kogi State electorates to remain alert and be ready to defend their votes according to the law.
