The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bayo Adelabu, has said he has high hopes of being declared winner of the election by the supreme court.
Adelabu previously filed an appeal against the tribunal’s dismissal of his petition over the victory of Governor Seyi Makinde.
On his official Facebook page, Adelabu reacted to the appeal court’s judgement on the case, saying that his hope in both the electoral and judicial processes was raised by keeping a date with history.
He noted that he was the best among other candidates presented in his party and that was why he was chosen to represent the party at the 2019 governorship election in Oyo State.
Adelabu boasted that his campaign was the most organised and issue-driven campaign which convinced the majority to vote for him.
According to him, he was robbed of his victory and the agents of darkness perfected the plan to steal his mandate.
“Now that the Appeal Court has set the tone of righting the wrong, I appeal to the good people of Oyo State to hold the peace and go about their lawful activities as we approach the Supreme Court to validate your victory,” Adelabu wrote.
