Prince Uche Secondus, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is fighting hard to retain his job.

Checks confirm that top members of the party are seriously mounting pressure on the party chairman to vacate his office over failure to win the 2015 and 2019 general elections, misappropriation and constitutional breaches, among other issues.

He has also been accused of not holding major meetings of the various organs of the party, including the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, which is the reason the party leaders pushed for his removal.

With the new development, there are strong indications that Secondus will remain the chairman of the party till the 2023 general elections.
