Officers of the Kogi State Police Command have paraded six suspects who have been linked to the killing of Mrs Salome Acheju Abuh, the leader of the PDP Women’s association in the state.
According to reports, Mrs Abuh was burnt alive in her house after the announcement of the November 16 governorship election result. All exits from her house were blocked to prevent her from escaping.
The six suspects paraded by the police include Ocholi Edicha, Adamu Haruna, Onu Egbunu, Musa Alidu, Attai Haruna and Attah Ejeh.
Edicha was said to have confessed to the crime. He added that he was behind the spate of robberies that had occurred recently in the state. He confessed to leading the gang to Abuh's house but denied killing her.
The police command has assured the public that all the perpetrators of the crime will be brought to justice.
