Governor Wike Accuses Dickson Of Betrayal Amidst Pleas To Reconcile

David Ugbabe

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has asked those pleading with him to reconcile with Seriake Dickson to quit doing so, as he has no more business with the Bayelsa State Governor.

According to Wike, the Federal High Court's judgement over the ownership of Soku Oil Wells is clear. Therefore, there is no premise for the intervention by the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“I don’t know why they are interceding. They have no power to resolve the issue of oil wells. Secondly, the matter has been determined by a court of competent jurisdiction," he said.

Also affirming PDP’s awareness of Dickson's party betrayal and how the Bayelsa State governor connived with his opponent, he said, “They know that Governor Dickson betrayed and sold out the party. They know that during the 2019 election in Rivers State, what happened in the state? That Dickson worked with my opponent."

The Rivers State governor stated that he has proof that Dickson had already made up his mind to go over to APC.

“Anybody who is not satisfied should go on appeal. Are they interceding on behalf of someone who betrayed the party?” he asked, adding, “I am not going to sit down with anybody to discuss anything as it relates to Governor Dickson. I have no business with Governor Dickson.”
