Senator Hope Uzodinma has on Wednesday, been sworn-in as the Imo State Governor.

Senator Uzodinma and his deputy, Professor Placid Njoku, were both sworn-in by the Chief Justice of the State, Justice Pascal Nnadi, at the statehouse in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

The swearing-in ceremony took place hours after Uzodinma received his certificate of return from INEC in Abuja.

The swearing-in came barely two days after the Supreme Court nullified the election of Emeka Ihedioha, and declared him the elected governor of the state.

Celebrating with Uzodinma, the National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, former Governor of the State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, and governorship candidate of APGA in the 2019 governorship election, Ifeanyi Ararume, were among those in attendance at the swearing-in ceremony.

Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, was also around with the large crowd, as he had earlier predicted earlier that Senator Uzodinma would emerge as governor of the state.
