The Federal High Court in Abuja has retained Adams Oshiomhole as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The court, on Thursday, turned down the application jointly filed by the National Vice Chairman North East of APC, Comrade Mustapha Salihu; the factional Chairman of the APC in Edo State, Anselm Ojezua and others seeking to compel the former governor to vacate office as the national chairman of the party.
Some factions of the party loyal to the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, had earlier called for the removal of Oshiomhole, claiming he was suspended from the state chapter of the party following a raging feud between the state governor and the chairman.
After the cross-examination, Justice Senchi ruled that the court will hear all parties involved rather than grant the application of the plaintiff to have Oshiomhole leave his position as the national chairman of the ruling party.
The matter was subsequently adjourned till February 18, 2020, for hearing.
