The Northern Governors Forum (NGF) and some of its members have keenly criticized the recent killings of so many innocent people in Plateau State by alleged herdsmen.
One of the members of NGF, Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, alongside his colleagues of Jigawa and Kebbi States, all described the recent killings in Plateau state as unfortunate incidents.
The governors who represented members of the Northern Governors Forum took a stand against terrorism, hence, making their positions known when they paid a sympathy visit to Governor Simon Lalong at Government House in Jos.
Governor Bagudu noted that the visit was to support the security measures taken by Governor Simon Lalong to avert the recurrence of such incidents in the state.
According to Governor Bagudu and the other members, they have unanimously agreed to support Lalong to ensure sustainable peace and security in the Plateau.
He also emphasized the need for mutual understanding among all citizens of plateau state irrespective of their traditional or religious disparities to help the development of the state.
The Plateau Governor Lalong who doubles as the Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum, expressed his gratitude to the 3 governors for their visit, describing it as a morale booster for the state.
