The sacked member of the House of Representatives, Hon Abdulmunin Jibrin, has returned government properties in his possession to the clerk of the Green Chamber.

The lawmaker, who became popular after accusing the former speaker, Musa Dogara of budget padding, told newsmen while handing over the properties that he would still be involved in active politics.

He added that he leaves his political future in the hand of God.

Jibrin, a close ally of the current speaker, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, lost his rerun election to PDP candidate after his election was nullified by Kano State Appeal Court.

“You can be a journalist supporting democracy. You can be someone who takes his vote very seriously and exercise it. You can be an advocate.

“The future looks very bright.

“And one has had a very interesting career in the House in the last 10 years.

“In these years, I’ve been a lawmaker holding two very sensitive positions in the House, chairing the Finance and Appropriations committees simultaneously.

“Spending 10 years without being accused of stealing money that belongs to the national assembly, without being associated with corruption and without being accused of being incompetent or lacking capacity.

“ I think I have to thank God Almighty,” Jibrin said.
