“I Will Unseat Akeredolu,” Kekemeke Vows

Funsho Akinwale

Isaac Kekemeke, the immediate past Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, on Sunday, vowed to unseat Governor Rotimi Akeredolu in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

There had been a rumour making rounds that he joined the race in a bid to become the deputy governorship candidate of the party should the present deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi, dropped from the race.

He, however, denied this rumour while addressing the media, stating that there was no iota of truth in the story.

Kekemeke, who spoke with newsmen in Akure, the Ondo State capital, affirmed that he would defeat Akeredolu at the forthcoming primary election of the party. He noted that there is no automatic ticket for anyone irrespective of his or her status.

“I am not running to become the deputy governor of anybody.

“Akeredolu did not run an inclusive government, but a secluded administration; so I am set to unseat him and become the next governor of the state,” he said.
