Dickson, Diri, PDP Celebrate Supreme Court’s Ruling

Funsho Akinwale

It was celebration galore in Bayelsa State on Wednesday following the final judgement of the Supreme Court.

The aggrieved ruling party and its governorship candidate, David Lyon, had approached the apex court to review its ruling that denied the state governor-elect and his deputy from being inaugurated as the winners of the last gubernatorial election.

A few minutes after the judgement, the immediate past governor of the state, Seriake Dickson, the sitting governor, Diri, the state chairman, PDP, Cleopas Moses, and other PDP stalwarts were seen singing worship songs in Dickson’s Abuja residence.

Dickson led his loyalists and political godson, Diri, in most of the songs while Major Lance and Cleaopas concluded the impromptu worship session in prayers.

The Peoples Democratic Party has described the final pronouncement of the court and the PDP victory as a miracle.
