Obaseki In Celebratory Mood Over Oshiomhole’s Suspension

The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has expressed satisfaction over the suspension of his predecessor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, as the National Chairman of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress.

A Federal Court sitting in Jabi, Abuja, has just suspended Oshiomhole from parading himself as the chairman of the ruling party.

Checks confirmed that the mood in the government house in Benin City is one of merriment and jubilation over today’s court ruling which ended Oshiomhole’s threats and attacks in the last few months all in a bid to deny Obaseki’s a second term.

A faction of the party had suspended Oshiomhole from the state chapter of the party before heading to court to seek his removal as national chairman.

Oshiomhole’s suspension is connected to the continued crisis in the state, making Edo State ungovernable for Obaseki.

This, according to sources, was due to Oshiomhole’s selfish interest in fielding another candidate against the sitting governor.
