How Coronavirus Forced Me To Move My Birthday Celebration - Obasanjo

Funsho Akinwale

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who turned 83 on Thursday, has revealed how the coronavirus forced him to move the date of the celebration.

Obasanjo, while speaking at a symposium organised to celebrate his birthday in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, said the programme was cancelled, as many could not attend the party because of the virus.

“The coronavirus almost spoilt my birthday fun but I still thank God,” he said.

However, in spite of the low key celebration, many eminent Nigerians, including President Muhammadu Buhari and former Vice President Atiku, sent in their congratulatory messages to felicitate with the former Nigerian leader.
