To say Adekunle Akinlade, the anointed successor of Governor Ibikunle Amosun has dumped All Progressive Congress(APC)for APM is like stating the obvious.
Akinlade was among the four lawmakers that dumped the ruling party on the floor of the plenary session on Thursday, November 29.2018.
Akinlade while addressing his political followers said his stolen mandate was one of the reasons for his decision to leave the party.
“My victory was historic because Ogun States indigenes were all out to vote for me”.
” I shall remain ever grateful to the members of the party for the faith and confidence reposed in me”.
Akinlade in his submission posited further that the National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole is not a good and sincere party man.
“He conspired with some party elders to hijack my mandate freely given to him”.
“I have now explored available party and political means to restore the mandate given to me” Akinlade added.
Akinlade now under Allied Peoples Movement will in 2019 gubernatorial election in Ogun State contest with other party governorship candidates including Dapo Abiodun from APC.
