It was the first time Vin Diesel had been to the MTV Movie Awards without his beloved co-star Paul Walker.
And the Fast and the Furious 7 star paid tribute to his pal during the ceremony on Sunday night.
The actor waked on stage to Wiz Khalifa’s hit, See You Again.
“The last time I stood on this stage I was with my brother Pablo,” he said.
“So I love that little intro you just did with that beautiful song.”
Vin then burst into his own rendition of the verse.
“It’s been a long day without you my friend and I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again,” he sang.
Paul died in 2013 in a tragic car accident.
He was midway through filming Furious 7.
Speaking about whether Fast and Furious 8 will go to New York, the actor said: “Well, I was trying to keep it close to the vest throughout the release.
“Paul [Walker] used to say that eight was guaranteed. And in some ways, when your brother guarantees something, you sometimes feel like you have to make sure it comes to pass.”
He added: “Seven was for Paul, eight is from Paul.”
