Rapper Azealia Banks recently slammed Nicki Minaj and the BET Awards after she was nominated for Best Female Hip Hop Artist.
On Monday, Banks posted a series of tweets blasting BET for allegedly spelling her name incorrectly for several times now.
“@bet has thrown me such much shade over the years. Keep misspelling my name…” she wrote.
In a follow-up tweet, the “Heavy Metal & Reflective” rapper called BET Awards “bogus” and wrote, “I really hate getting nominated for @bet awards. They’re so bogus.”
Banks is currently up against “Fancy” rapper Iggy Azalea, “Hey Mama” rapper Nicki Minaj and Dej Loaf to name a few, Entertainment Weekly reported.
The “Ice Princess” then went on to throw shade at Minaj, whom she said is the only singer/rapper who wins as Best Hip Hop Artist at the BET Awards.
“The female rap award at the bet awards goes to nicki every year, it’s not even a real award anymore lol it’s a bit of a running joke. They should just nominate nicki five times with five different wigs on and pick the best picture lol,” she wrote.
Banks even went as far as criticizing Minaj’s fans, who call themselves “Barbs.”
“*hears barbz buzzing in the distance* *rolls up car windows* *sound of little barb heads slamming into glass* *unconscious barbs on floor*,” she tweeted.
“*turns up random nicki Minaj verse* *puts car in reverse* *backs up over barbs* *blood splatters* *puts car in drive and takes off*,” she continued.
Banks later on deleted all of her tweets. Minaj has not yet reacted to any of them.
Minaj’s Twitter account is currently filled with links and messages from fans who are raving over the recent release of her “Feeling Myself” music video, starring Beyonce.
The clip was exclusively launched via Tidal on Monday.
