Forget about inhuman treatments like lynching how about dabbing on some paint! Two ladies were nabbed when trying to shoplift and were covered with bright yellow paint.
However, Zambian Human Rights Commission are currently investigating the matter.
Managers in the clothes shop were responsible for the act. The commission interviewed the store manager in the capital, Lusaka, who admitted that they were painted, saying they consented to it in place of being fined or taken to the police.
The commission only became aware of the incident from 2015 after these photos were shared on social media at the beginning of the week.
The Human Rights Commission’s Mweelwa Muleya said: “There is no crime that justifies torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.”
