WWE legend Chyna, real name Joan Marie Laurer, was found dead in her home of a ‘possible overdose’, yesterday, April 20, 2016 in Redondo Beach, California.

Shortly after Chyna was found, a statement was released on her Twitter account confirming her passing and paying tribute to the late star.

“It is with deep sadness to inform you today that we lost a true icon, a real life superhero. Joanie Laurer, AKA Chyna, the 9th Wonder of the World has passed away. She will live forever in the memories of her millions of fans and all of us that loved her.”

Redondo Beach Police Department are investigating her death, and have stated that there were no obvious signs of foul play.

Chyna rose to fame in 1997 after being dubbed the Ninth Wonder of the World. She was aged 45 years old.
