It appears Chocolate City founder and activist, Audu Maikori will regain freedom today.

According to Oby Ezekwezili, former education minister and #BringBackOurGirls campaigner who shared this development in a series of tweets, after speaking with the governor of Kaduna state, Mallam Nasir El Rufai, on the ‘necessity to act and free’ Audu since he had admitted to being wrong and apologised for sharing ‘untrue stories’ relating to the Southern Kaduna killing, and ‘all sides learning the right lesson from this episode’, the governor agreed to ‘act and free’ Maikori today.

Maikori was picked up Friday by men of the Nigerian Police Force in Lagos and then flown to Abuja and detained on orders of the governor of Kaduna state for allegedly making ‘inciting’ comments about the Southern Kaduna crisis.
