The Lagos State Government has appointed award winning and top-rated movie director, Kunle Afolayan, into the Board of the State’s Council of Arts & Culture.
He shared the news of his new appointment on his Instagram page with the caption;
“It is time to serve the people! I am pleased to announce that I have been appointed as a member of the board of Lagos State council for art and culture with effect from 6th of March 2017.
E je ka t’era mose.
Itesiwaju ipinle Eko lo je wa logun! Ire.”
The official letter that confirmed the appointment reveals that Kunle, who just released the trailer for his new movie , Omugwo was selected because of his excellent and first-rated track records.
The letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Tunji Bello, reads in part;
“In approving your appointment, due cognizance has been taken of your integrity, selfless service and past records of impressive performance. I therefore have no doubt that you will bring your wealth of experience to bear on the newly-assigned responsibility and continue to justify the confidence reposed in you by His Excellency, The Governor”
