Former Presidential aide Dr Reuben Abati’s scathing opinion on the recently concluded #BBNaija reality TV show has ruffled more than a few feathers. Uti Nwachukwu, Kemi Adetiba and Toke Makinwa took to Twitter to disagree with and call out the former journalist who used inappropriate words in criticising some of the housemates and organisers of the reality TV show.
Abati had disparagingly described TBoss breast as ‘fluffy’ and the ‘size of mangoes’ and former Big Brother contestant Uti Nwachukwu didn’t take Abati’s description of popular housemate Tboss lightly. He said “You know the government has failed when an old, thought to be responsible man starts to openly mock the youth that have done him no wrong. Any woman that supports this man’s statements is a jealous , spiteful coward and a disappointment to womanhood”.
Filmmaker and music director, Kemi Adetiba also reacted to the article written by the former spokesman. In a series of tweets posted by the filmmaker, she said the article could have been written without harsh words.
Media personality and bestselling author, Toke Makinwa, who is equally saddened by the post of the seasoned journalist also took to twitter to call out the former presidential spokesman.
Abati has neither responded to the criticisms nor apologised for his view that many find offensive.
