The Internet has been abuzz with excitement since news filtered in of Afrobeat King and legendary saxophonist, Femi Kuti, breaking a world record; almost setting a new one.
On Sunday at the Afrikan Shrine, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Femi Kuti held the longest single note on the saxophone for 46 minutes and 38 seconds, surpassing the 1997 record of Kenny G of 45 minutes and 37 seconds.
Although he knocked off world number two, Kenny G, he failed to break the current 47 minutes 5.5 seconds world record set by Vann Burghfield in 2000.
