Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has crowned the winner of the 2019/2020 Queen Moremi Ajasoro of Ile-Ife.
Olowookere Adebukola defeated 30 other contestants to emerge winner of the 2020 edition of the beauty pageant.
The 19-year-old queen, who narrowly escaped from eviction at the final stage, broke down in tears of excitement and joy as soon as the result was announced
Oyetayo Kofoworola was in second place, while Oladipupo Temitope bagged the third position.
Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ooni of Ife, said the aim was to promote the Yoruba culture among the youth to prevent it from going into extinction.
The winner was presented with a brand new car, and N1 million empowerment fund from the monarch.
Ooni while presenting the gifts noted that new queen automatically becomes the Cultural Ambassador to the Ooni, and would enjoy the privilege of being part of his foreign trips’ entourage.
Kofoworola, the first runner-up, went home with N750,000 cash gift while Temitope received N500,000 cash gift.
Notable faces at the ceremony included former Ogun State First Lady, Olufunso Amosun, Princess Toyin Kolade, Erelu Dosumu Abiola, Iya Rainbow, Liz Anjorin , Lanre Teriba, Wole Oni, and a galaxy of royal fathers.
